How I got here. Part Three.

I researched and researched for the cleanest hair products I could find. After hunting I came across Innersense Organic Beauty and ordered the line to try on my own hair. I loved it so much after that first wash that I was hooked. Clean, concentrated and performance driven…it was a match made in heaven.

I realized that with the right products, right application and by tapering my expectations, I was kind of liking my natural texture. I was learning to embrace day four frizz and realized that if my curls were looking rough, I could do a cute up style to get a few more days out of it. I think that as “curly girls” that’s one of the biggest things that we can do for ourselves, is to learn to reign in our hair expectations. Sometimes, no matter what you do to your hair on a specific day, it may not turn out the way you had planned or hoped. AND THAT’S OK! You can rewash it tomorrow! It’s just hair!!! And if I’m being 100% honest, that was the biggest hurdle for me to get over. But once I did, I quickly realized that I was falling in love with my hair.

It’s been two years since I made the switch to only wearing my hair natural. My hair has never felt or looked better. Regular curl cuts, Olaplex treatments, clean hair products, no heat (unless I’m diffusing) and no bleach. It honestly wasn’t hard to make the switch once I committed. You guys, I LOVE MY HAIR! It took me so many years of tears and frustration to get to this point, but I’m so glad I’m here.

If you are ready to take the leap into embracing your natural texture, I’m here for you. Reach out.
